Sophia Tutino has recently joined the Team of Mentors for Yachting Ventures, the 10-week programme that helps start-up businesses get a step ahead, with the aim of bringing greater innovation and efficiency to the yachting industry. Sophia joins the team able offer advice to new entrepreneurs with her 13 years’ experience in the yacht charter industry and her extensive knowledge of the business terrain and how the industry operates. Specialising in yacht charter and charter management she has worked for 3 of the leading brokerage houses over the course of 12 years; Burgess, Ocean Independence and IYC, ensuring she is well suited to the role as a Mentor.
Yachting Ventures was founded by Gabriella Richardson and launched only recently, but it is a promising accelerator programme supporting new businesses who wish to break into the yachting industry but may require additional backing and advice to successfully achieve it. The aim is to start a generation of entrepreneurs who will innovate and improve all areas of the industry to create a better and more efficient market for all. Yachting Ventures uses mentors as an integral part of its targeted approach to connect new businesses to key industry players, and has an experienced Team of Mentors from all corners of the industry.
