Abigail recently graduated from an MSc in International Marketing at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. Abigail was born from British parents in the sunny town of Nice, where yachting was an integral part of her family’s life. Luckily for Abigail, the usual part-time summer jobs where swapped out for more exciting opportunities. These included becoming a stewardess on a private yacht, where her love for the industry developed even further all whilst acquiring a disciplined work ethic.
Abigail made the move to a much colder climate in Scotland to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, whilst still developing the knowledge and expertise of the Yachting Industry during the long summers. After her Master’s, Abigail decided the best career path for herself would be to combine both the degrees and her passion for the Yachting Industry. This being said, the only experience she currently had was hands on yachting, Abigail wanted to use this as a means to begin what would hopefully be a prosperous career.
In her spare time, travelling is always first on her agenda; whether it be to local areas or on distant adventures! Personal holidays have taken her to a variety of destinations including the Indian Ocean, Australia and North Africa. Work took her around the Mediterranean allowing her to seeremote places which would have otherwise been harder to experience.
Abigail enjoys exercising, whether it be at the gym, a relaxing yoga session or nice long (at times challenging!) hikes up mountains. Being bilingual, (French and English) learning new languages and meeting people from different cultures and countries is always engaging and comes naturally to her.
She is excited to be joining Sophia Tutino and her team as the new Charter Assistant. With her current academic and practical experience Abigail is confident this role will not only challenge her but also help apply and strengthen her skills. Having bases both in the UK and France she is sure to be an asset to the team.
